Softball Manitoba U14 A Girls’ Provincial Championship

Friday’s Summaries
Pool A
Smitty’s Terminators Y2K 19 Eastman Wildcats 0
- Cierra Cyr went 3-for-3 and scored three runs for Smitty’s.  Julia Watt and Tori McTavish added two hits and three runs each.  Steph Carral had lone hit for Eastman.


Manitoba Angels 6 Central Energy 1
- Maddie Towle, Natalie Bacon and Nicole Hammersley all scored a pair of runs each for the Angels.  Jayden Friesen-Kehler scored the lone run for Central.


Pool B
South Interlake Phillies 7 Winnipeg Lightning 0
- Amber Schneider went 3-for-3 with three runs scored for the Phillies.  Loren Proven had two hits and also scored a run.


Manitoba Thunder 6 Westman Magic 5
- Magic led 5-0 after 2 ½ innings.  Thunder scored twice in the bottom of the 7th for the victory.  Jenna Marshall doubled and scored two runs for the Magic.  Brooke Schoonbaert had the Magic’s only other hit.  Brooklyn Roach took the loss on the mound for Westman.  Shayne Nichols went 2-for-4 and scored three runs for the Thunder.  Dana Zarn had two hits and scored twice including the winning run.
