Softball MB U14 A Girls' Provincials Update (as of 3 p.m. Sunday)


The MB Angels claimed the bronze medal at the U14's

Sunday’s Summaries

MR Game #1 (1-vs-1 Game – Winner to Final, loser to semifinal)
Smitty’s Terminators Y2K 8 South Interlake Phillies 1
-          Tori McTavish had two triples and scored three runs to spark Smitty’s offensively.

MR Game #2 (2-vs-2 Game – Winner to Semifinal, loser eliminated)
Manitoba Angels 7 Manitoba Thunder 6
-          Natalie Bacon hit a grand slam home run in the top of the 4th inning to help pace the Angels to the win and a semifinal berth.  It also guarantees the Angels a spot at the U14 Western Canadian Championship in Lloydminster.

MR Game #3 (Semifinal – Winner to Final, loser eliminated)
South Interlake Phillies 10 Manitoba Angels 1
-          Kyra Shewchuk, Sarah Fines and Amber Schneider hit back-to-back-to-back home runs as part of a four-run 3rd inning for the Phillies.  Loren Proven also homered for South Interlake while Jenn Smith homered for the Angels.
