Lightning Saturday
The 11 a.m. draw at the Softball Manitoba U14 A Girls' Championship featured two games in Pool B.

The Smitty's Terminators improved to 2-and-0 with well-played 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Lightning.

Hayley Johnson and Chandra Petti combined on a one-hitter for Smitty's while Taylor Wiens had a two-run double in the 2nd inning to account for both of the Terminators' runs.

The other game saw the Westman Magic leading the South Interlake Phillies 15-4 when the game was suspended after four innings due to an error in applying the run-ahead rule.

If necessary, the game will resume following the 3 p.m. draw.
