Challenge Met

On behalf of the host committee for the Softball Manitoba U14 'A' Girls' Championship this past weekend at Simplot Park in Brandon, thank you for the all the expressions of gratitude from the teams, coaches, parents and spectators for getting the diamonds ready for play.
As I said in my report to Softball Manitoba, many also didn't realize that we had about two inches of rain at the Park during the day Thursday and spent six hours Thursday night prepping them for play on Friday morning.
Special thanks to grounds crew Kelly Wright, Megan Asham and Jackson Stephens and the volunteerism of our Westman Umpires for their time in pitching in to help out.
I know some of you were at the Park and checked out the diamonds Saturday, but below are some pictures of the rain-soaked diamonds.
Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend, despite the rain and the heat, and look forward to seeing you at the Park for the remainder of the season and in the future.
